About Maatschap Wijsmuller 2026
Maatschap Wijsmuller 2026
Invest in stories that travel the world
Founded by Laurens Martina and Leonore Wijsmuller, Maatschap Wijsmuller 2026 is reinventing film financing by connecting filmmakers, investors, and industry partners in a flexible and transparent ecosystem.
Our partnership goes beyond traditional film funding models such as subsidies, grants or crowdfunding. We bring together companies, private investors and financial partners to create a strong and flexible financing structure for film projects.
What We Do
We support film projects in different stages of development, including:
- Writing a book or screenplay
- Rights clearance
- Assembling a production team and crew
- Film production
- Submission to international film festivals
We welcome film projects from all countries and cultures.
Connecting Creators and Investors
Wijsmuller Partnership 2026 also acts as a connector between filmmakers, investors and industry partners. By bringing the right people together, we help projects move efficiently from idea to realization.
Selection and Focus
To maintain focus and quality, we present up to five film projects each month to our partners and investors.
Once financing for a project has been secured, new projects from the waiting list will be introduced.
Our Mission
To create a transparent and efficient platform where filmmakers can realize their films and investors can participate in meaningful film projects.
Financing Model of Maatschap Wijsmuller 2026
When a film project is financed through the partnership, the invested capital is allocated as follows:
- 80% → directly to the film project (development, production, rights clearance, crew, festival submissions)
- 10% → to the partnership for project management, curation, and support
- 5% → reserved for a new film project, ensuring that investor capital keeps circulating
- 5% → shared between the filmmaker and investor as immediate incentive
This structure ensures that projects are fully supported while maintaining a continuous flow of funding for new projects.
Profit Distribution (after recoupment)
Once the original investment has been recouped by the investor, any additional profits are distributed as follows:
- 60% → back to the project and its rights holders
- 10% → allocated to a new film project
- 10% → to the investor
- 20% → to the partnership for management and future development
